HubSpot is truly a jack of all trades software. Its arsenal of tools can help with everything from marketing, sales, customer service, admin operations, and—as we’ll be looking at here today—client relationship management.

Like most platforms, HubSpot offers both a free and paid version of their software. Today’s article is going to focus mainly on the benefits of the free-tier plan, but if the basic service package piques your interest, consider doing further research on the site’s subscription packages.

 

CRM for the sale-heavy company

While far from a Gospel Truth, we generally only recommend HubSpot for Triumphers operating in a sales-heavy industry. Not to say it can’t provide value for a wide array of business plans, but the HubSpot software does seem to best assist company systems built around—or at least heavily reliant upon—sales. So if your business is built more like Pam Beesly:

Double platinum no features

We’d rather not spam you with an enormous list of features, but, there really isn’t a better way to explain the features than listing them, so please bear with us for a moment. HubSpot’s free software package offers the following important tools:

-       Up to 5,000 shared document creation

-       Contact and client profile management

-       Team email accounts

-       Meeting scheduling database

-       Email templates

-       Email tracking and notifications

-       Conversational bots (but the jury is still out on how well they work)

-       Mobile app access

-       Live chat

-       Email reply tracking

-       Shared inboxes

-       Prospect management tools

-       Bare bones deal pipeline

-       Assorted other small fun things

If any of those features sounds useful to your business—particularly since they are free—HubSpot might be right for you.

 

Trusted Integration

Another one of HubSpot’s major selling points is found it its integration ability. If you’re using the free version of HubSpot, chances are you’re also cobbling together a few other service platforms to help get the job done—at least for now.

While the paid version comes with a robust list of available integrations, the free version of HubSpot can still seamlessly integrate with the Slack productivity software, allowing your team to save time and reduce unnecessary complexity.

 

Free the CRM

So, what have you got to lose? Not our most professional ending to an article, but we stand by the sentiment. Just as with any software program, the free version won’t be quite as powerful as the paid—but with HubSpot—the free version may very well still create value for your organization.
