Ready to take your podcast to the next level? Check out Riverside.fm

Per usual, Triumph received no financial compensation from the listed companies for writing this article. Straight from the heart, baby.

Triumph already wrote an article on getting your new podcast started back here. But, if that podcast is going pretty well—and you’re looking to upgrade—we’ve got just the tool for you.

Interested in improved sound quality, live-streaming capability, and even the option to host remote guests? Nice—we thought you might be. Welcome to Riverside.fm, the easiest way to supercharge your podcasting career.

We’re sure your stories are great, and we think you should be able to get them out there fast. Broadcast them live, even. And now you can, thanks to Riverside’s live-streaming capability. The platform allows users to stream their podcast across all their social accounts, websites, and whatever other techy things you decide to use. No more waiting days to get your podcast edited and online—your fans (and your sanity) will thank you.

Obsessed with clarity? Fear not, Riverside has both 1080p and 4K recording options.  Afraid your remote guest will tank your show’s video quality? No need to worry your pretty little podcaster head about that either, Riverside’s software comes with a stability guarantee. As long as you and your guest have access to half-decent wifi networks, Riverside can handle the rest. Seriously, it’s kind of their thing, and the company prides itself on being an industry leader in remote-cast clarity.

In addition to live-streaming, Riverside’s in-app editing suite is also nothing to sneeze at (don’t mind us, we didn’t invent the expression). Not having to mess with an additional editing software can saves you hours of headaches as well as a pretty penny (is there any other kind?) per month.

Don’t want to take our word for it? As usual, that is totally fine. But maybe consider taking Microsoft’s, Marvel’s, Spotify’s, or Fox Sport’s word, seeing as they all trust Riverside for their official podcasting needs. Just a thought.

On the road again

Always on the go? Well, we love a good adventure podcast, and Riverside still has you covered. The platform’s robust mobile app allows users to take a professional podcasting studio with them wherever they go. Record on the road, on a mountain, or wherever it is you do your thing. We’re honestly pretty intrigued to see what locations you come up with.

I’m more of a voiceover fan myself

Not the least bit interested in any of the livestreaming capabilities we laid out above? Not a problem at all. Many a successful podcast opts for an audio-only approach, and Riverside has all the tools to equip you in that quest. With one click, you can enter “audio only” mode. You’ll still be able to see guests on the screen (if not in studio), but the software will focus on capturing the highest possible audio product and forgo any video recording.

What of the fees?

Riverside keeps it simple with the pricing by offering three subscription plans: Free, Standard, and Pro. We’ll give them a pass on the lame names because the product is pretty fantastic. A quick breakdown of each tier is listed below.

The Free Plan is, well, free, and allows up to two total hours of podcast recording. Users have access to the full editing suite, but all video files contain a small watermark and live-streaming is disabled. Free is a great way to pilot program two or three episodes of your podcast before committing.

If you’re satisfied with what you find in Free, you can upgrade to the Standard Plan. You’ll dump the watermark on video files, gain access to live-streaming, and expand your recording allotment to five hours per month. For this generous bounty you’ll be on the hook for $19/month, but discounts are available if you buy an annual package.

As your podcasting empire grows, consider upgrading to the Pro Plan. The name might disappoint, but the content does not. Pro users receive everything in Standard plus live chat support, unlimited podcast transcriptions, and the ability to accept call-in guests during a live show. The total recording allotment also increases to a hefty 15 hours per month. Congrats Pro users, you’ve hit it big.

Come rest down by the Riverside

Ours is the age of podcasts, and Riverside is helping every adventurer, no matter how small, get in on the fun. Everyone loves a good story, and the world can’t wait to hear yours. Whether you run a business, create art, or do some super wild third thing, we’re willing to bet you have some interesting thoughts to share with the world. Once you do—please send us the link. We’d love to listen in.
