Passionate about a topic? Consider monetizing your own class with WebinarNinja

The sneaky-good online education platform.

Not a big reader? No problem. Check out the video synopsis below:

Per usual, Triumph received no financial compensation from the companies for writing this article. Straight from the heart, baby.

Benjamin Franklin famously said, “an investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” Granted, Ben Franklin never had the opportunity to invest in Dogecoin, but you get the point.

Education is a precious commodity, and one of the few things more precious than the knowledge itself may be those with the gift of disseminating it. Teaching is a rare and valuable skill, and, thanks to WebinarNinja, it’s easier than ever to launch your own educational venture.

So, if you’re ready to enlighten us with your expertise (and get paid in the process), this article was made for you—and all of your friends. School’s in session.

Webawhat are we talking about?

WebinarNinja is an all-in-one video hosting platform designed specifically for independent creators. If Netflix and Ted Talks had a baby (patent pending), this would be it. The site allows aspiring hosts to create their own unique webinar products tailored specifically to individual topics and audiences. Once you’ve found your niche, WebinarNinja can help you both customize and monetize your unique offering (woohoo!)

In other words, welcome to your own personal master class. In addition to the expansive webinar features we are about to outline below, WebinarNinja also provides automatic email campaigns, custom landing pages, downloadable student handouts, and some seriously high-powered analytics. Translation? Teaching people about neat things has never been easier.

You get paid to speak about things you enjoy and the world gets to benefit from your expertise. In technical terms, we believe that would be classified as the elusive “win-win.” And, as if all that wasn’t enough, WebinarNinja also gives us an excuse to repeatedly refer to our readers as “ninjas” within this article. Personally, we couldn’t ask for anything more.

What kinds of webinars can I host?

In a word, “most.” With four primary templates, and a whole host of nuanced customization features, WebinarNinja allows creators to add a personal touch to each webinar. Let’s start by unpacking each of the four base webinar models: Live, Evergreen, Series, and Hybrid.

Live Webinars

Full video available here.

These sessions are, well, exactly what they sound like. Live webinars allow creators to directly engage with their audience in real-time. When the red light goes on, it’s show time. WebinarNinja takes the hassle out of hosting and instantly amplifies your voice to hundreds (or thousands) of attendees. The days of trying to integrate multiple applications or wrangle confusing (and expensive) custom tech solutions are over. Long live the Ninja.

Your classroom is your kingdom, so run it however you see fit. WebinarNinja arms creators with all sorts of crowd control features (e.g. force mute, kick, etc.), so you never have to worry about losing control of your presentation. And when your subjects are less rowdy, have some fun with WebinarNinja’s interactive options, like live polls and individual (or group) chat boxes.

When it comes to audience engagement, nothing beats a live show. However, “live” can also be synonymous with “lag”—the bane of every online learner’s existence. Thankfully, WebinarNinja can help you kick lag to the curb.

With help from their dedicated cloud-based server farms, WebinarNinja promises users a stable livestream experience—always. Just make sure your own internet connection is decent, but you probably figured that out already.

If it helps ameliorate any lingering technical fears, the company’s livestream tech is already trusted by several prominent consulting companies as well as the national government of New Zealand. The Triumph team believes this marks our first product endorsed by the Kiwis, and, we find that nothing short of swell.

Evergreen (automated) Webinars

Full video available here.

Cool name, cooler product. WebinarNinja’s Evergreen function allows creators to reach an even wider audience through pre-recorded presentations. Going live is always fun, but there’s a reason that Back to the Future wasn’t filmed in real time (“webinars? Where we’re going, we don’t need webinars”).

Having access to post-editing, should you choose to make use of it, will add a layer of professionalism and refinement to your final products. Taking the time to tweak and fine-tune your presentation also helps ensure that you communicate your content as clearly and effectively as possible.

With Evergreens, you choose whether to put your show on demand (like a nice Stranger Things binge) or release through scheduled episodes (like a fun traditional-cable format).

As if the two-step manual of uploading and sitting back wasn’t easy enough, WebinarNinja also offers a host of features to help disseminate your pre-recorded masterpiece. Your future students will be able to watch your class on any device, will be redirected to your personal website at the close of the webinar, and (for scheduled sessions) can even add your class directly to their Apple or Google calendar.

Probably most mundane but certainly not least, WebinarNinja also ensures that all Evergreen webinars are GDPR internet-privacy compliant. It may sound boring, but it’s actually incredibly important if you’d like to avoid the wrath of the European Union coming down on your head (an avoidance which we generally recommend).

Series webinars

Full video available here.

The best stories (ahem, back to Stranger Things, ahem) take time to develop. Series webinars allow prospective Ninjas to upload and coordinate multiple installments of a class. In addition to giving you more time to get your message across, the Series format also makes it easier for students to navigate your webinar library. If you have multiple areas of expertise to share with the world, easily organize your material into separate courses, seasons, topics, or whatever suits your educational fancy.

Deeper presentations also means deeper pockets. Series webinars are the perfect tool to monetize collections of online material. WebinarNinja is fully equipped with payment and registration features to help translate content into well-earned coin. Ninjas are free to design the payment and publishing scheme that best serves the needs of their respective students.

Hybrid Webinars

Full video available here.

Welcome to the best of both worlds. Hybrid webinars allow creators to deliver a professionally edited product without losing that warm, personal touch. By going Hybrid, creators can sign-in and watch the prerecorded class right alongside their attendees. Build your class community through answering chat questions and conducting polls while your recorded-self crushes the presentation. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy your own show.

Customer support & help center

Technical glitches are part and parcel of modern education. When the gremlins strike, creators on WebinarNinja can fall back on a professionally trained support staff via the WebinarNinja Help Center.

Pricing

They might be ninjas, but this platform still won’t hit you with any sneaky fees. Creators have 14 days to date WebinarNinja before fully committing. After that, users can choose from three pricing packages: Basic, Pro, and Business. With Basic, creators are going to have a hard cut-off at 50 attendees per webinar. The latter two plans have an initial cap at 100 but allow users to scale up to 1,000 attendees per webinar (for a proportional increase in price). Feel free to play around with the different size packages on your own time, and we’ll briefly unpack the base models below.

Back to basics

The Back plan comes in at an economical $29 per month. At that price point, users can enjoy up to 2 hours of recording time per webinar, unlimited total webinars, unlimited registrants (but only 50 of them per session), live webinars, and automated email features. Sadly, the Basic plan does not include Evergreen, Series, or Hybrid webinars. However, it does represent an economical price point for new and growing Ninjas.

Time to go pro

As we mentioned earlier, the Pro plan has an initial cap at 100 attendees per webinar for $99 a month, but that cap can be extended for some additional dollars. In addition to (at a minimum) doubling the attendee and webinar length cap compared to Basic, the Pro plan also allows Ninjas to create Evergreen webinars, custom branded URLs (so your customers think they’re on your very own website), and to host up to four separate speakers on one account. WebinarNinja also offers Pro users a free 1-on-1 onboarding call to ensure new Ninjas are comfortable getting started on the platform.

Strictly Business

If you’re willing to make the leap and sign-up for the WebinarNinja Business plan, your monetary efforts will be thoroughly rewarded. For a base price of $199 per month, the Business plan grants Ninjas all the rights and privileges of the lower tiers along with access to Series and Hybrid webinars. Additionally, Business users can record up to eight hours per webinar and are free to share the account with nine other guest presenters.

$199 per month may sound a bit expensive, but allow us to put that price point in perspective. Even if you decide to only charge $15 per webinar, and you are initially only able to fill 50% of your virtual classroom space, you’d still be netting $750 per session. Host two or three sessions per month, and you are doing just fine, friend. Just fine.

The nice ninja

Not all ninjas slash fruit—or other ninjas—apparently. Let WebinarNinja help you master the martial art of education and get your expertise out to the world. It’s hard to beat getting paid to talk about something you’re passionate about, especially if that something can help improve the lives of others. So, grab your markers, your whiteboard, your Ninja Turtle mask, and sneak on over to WebinarNinja right here.
